Trusted contacts are people a user consciously adds to a personal network. They may be friends, relatives or carers. Trusted does not mean permanent access to everything.
Permission-based access
The intended app design lets users decide who can receive an alert and when location is available. Contacts should understand what is shared and for how long.
The same principle applies to family or group functionality. Support should not become permanent surveillance by default.
What may be visible
Depending on final settings, a contact may receive a safety alert, active sharing status or temporary location. Jewellery connection and battery information are primarily intended for the wearer.
Final role permissions are still being designed and tested.
Stopping must be simple
Active sharing should be clearly visible. Users should be able to stop, remove contacts and review permissions. Retention, security and deletion must follow those same boundaries.
